Sustainability is our primary goal at cohost, and we're only activating as many users as we can reasonably moderate at our current team capacity. Generally, this has been between 1,000 and 5,000 per day, but may be more or less at our discretion.

How do you determine the order of activations?

When you create a cohost account, your account is assigned a user ID number in ascending order. When we activate accounts we activate the X lowest unactivated user IDs.

My friend signed up after me but was activated before me. What gives?

There are many unused invite links from our alpha floating around in the wild. Many existing cohost users still have invites remaining, so it's likely that they received an activation link from a current cohost user.

It says the waiting period is only one or two days, but it's been more than that!

We have a very small team, and we activate batches of users according to moderation capacity. Our waiting period is usually one to two days, but with recent changes coming to other social media sites, the demand for cohost accounts has more than doubled and the wait can be up to a week. We really appreciate your patience as we work to make cohost the best it can be.

Please do not email us asking why you haven't been activated yet. This quite literally makes the activation process slower for everyone, and these emails will be ignored.
